Our band is growing and improving and we would love for you to be a part of the excitement. Freshman Band Camp Schedule
The schedule for this year’s freshman band camp has been set as follows:Monday, August 18
9:00 AM - Noon - Freshmen move into their dorm rooms early and get first dibs over their roommates on bed selection.
3 PM - Initial meeting and instrument distribution in Bone Hall (Biddle Music Building)
4 PM - 6 PM - Marching Rehearsal
Tuesday, August 19
9 AM - Noon - Marching Fundamentals
2 PM - 4 PM - Sectionals - School Songs
Wednesday, August 20
2 PM - 4 PM - Full Band Music Rehearsal
4 PM - 6 PM - Full Band Marching Fundamentals
Beginning 2 PM, Wednesday afternoon, all rehearsals will be with full band and everyone will follow the Upperclassmen Band Camp Schedule listed below.
Please do not worry about missing orientation activities. Our band camp schedule was developed along with the Orientation Staff to allow incoming band students the opportunity to participate in band while still gaining the necessary benefits of orientation. We are quite used to negotiating students’ first week on campus and will help each freshman keep informed and on-schedule.
