PROJECT BAND

More than just band camp.

PBand is a week designed to help incoming freshmen find community in the marching band -not only through rehearsals, but also through team bonding events, spirited competition, and unforgettable off-campus trips.

Enrollment in PBand is mandatory in order to become a member of the Duke University Marching Band.

    Activities

    From water sliding at Fantasy Lake Adventure Park to watching the sunset at Falls Lake, PBand offers exciting off-campus trips. Eat at local Durham restaurants, mingle at bonfire night, and more!

    Community

    PBand not only helps kickstart friendships with fellow freshmen, but also offers a network of dependable upperclassmen support. Experience team bonding through section competitions and more!

  • Rehearsals

    PBand prepares freshmen for the thrill of performing at Duke Football’s halftime show, bringing together exciting drill on the field, fun pop songs, and full-band rehearsals that build toward an electric game-day performance.

Choose PBand

  • PBand exists as the only orientation group that remains intact as an extracurricular community following Orientation Week. The lifelong friends and connections with upperclassmen begin during PBand week!

  • 1) Select PBand as your top choice on the Duke Freshmen Orientation Survey.

    *Note: You will be guaranteed a spot in PBand once having requested to join.
